To fit the long box in you will need to make a new cross member and cut
your tunnel.
In the Sunny with a Stanza five speed the 180B 4 speed manual shaft fits
straight up check this out for length!

Errol et al,
Have just installed motor and G/box into Stanza (L20b and B/Bird 5 spd.)
It doesn't fit...
The problem is similar to the Datsun 1600 & long 'box conversion that
people have discussed on the list before.
I have the added problem that the crossmember won't fit even if I reverse
it, and the shift-lever hole will have to be extended rearwards.
These are not major problems, the tailshaft that won't fit is, however.
I have 2 B/bird G'boxes already, so I don't want to go and get a stumpy,
unless someone wants to swap :)
Also, I don't like the Stanza 5-Speed because it is just the 4 speed ratios
with an overdrive 5th - as far as I can tell.
Are there factory tailshafts that will fit my new setup, e.g Gazelle, 1200,
Sunny etc...What length are the modified 1600 tailshafts?
Failing that I'll have to get mine shortened.
What do you counsel?
