Speaking about CA series engines.. here are some specs for the 2.0E (pintara)
and 1.8DET (s13)
CA18 CA20
1809cc 1974cc
bore x stroke 83.0 x 83.6 84.5 x 88.0
Valve arrangement DOHC OHC
Firing Order 1-3-4-2 1-3-4-2
# compression rings: 2 2
# oil rings: 1 1
# main bearings: 5 5
CR: 8.5 8.5
Rod centre distance 132.95-133.05 149.25-149.35
Anyone have specs on the CA16?
With the CA20 have an 8.5 compression ratio, pistons in the CA18 would be
stronger to handle greater compression on boost? Im thinking find a
turbo+manifold from CA18, stick it in your pintara, run std boost and computer
and hope it doesn't ping...
Maybe later when you are rebuilding your 2lt CA to turbo specs add a DOHC
head...
Did the CA20 only come in the Pintara?
Got the rest of the specs but dont' understand most of it :)
