Paul,
Im also running a z18et, good motors! Anyhow the amount of boost youll be
able to safely run depends on a few things, intake temps (is it
intercooled?), fuel supply (is it standard computer, injectors etc??) umm
then theres compression ratios and stuff. But in totally standard form i
wouldnt be running anymore than say 9-10psi. Getting it on a dyno will be the
only totally accurate way of seeing how much boost you can run as they can
keep an eye on fuel supply and stuff like that. When mine was running
standard comp, injectors, turbo on 9-10psi it was making around 90kw@rear so
yours should be somewhere around that mark. I did find that putting a blow
off valVe on mine did prevent lag somewhat yes!
As for boosting off the line trying stalling it up - has always worked for
me.
Have fun!!
Steve.
