Sam,
Connect the negative to an earth wire in the dash or earth it to the body directly,
connect the positive to an accessories power wire in the dash. Heater fan has such a
wire
running to it, or the wires that went to the radio. Simply find a wire that has 0V when
ignition switched off but ~12V when ingnition/accessories are switched on. On the
wiring
diagram I have the wire is labeled L which I think means it should be light blue. You
can
get cable splicers that clip on to an insulated wire and allow another wire to connect
off it. No need for cutting insulation, solderig and taping up.
Do not connect directly to the Ignition switch accessory wire as it has not passed
through the fuse at this stage.
