if this helps......i'm insured through RACQ, and when i upgraded the L16 to
L18, they said that they would insure it, just as long as it was still a 4
cylinder. i asked about a dohc turbo and still got the same answer...its ok.
keep in mind that you will need certain mod. plates through a
mechanic...in qld...engine, gearbox, diff etc.
