Most L series clutch slave cylinders are interchangeable, the exceptions are
for the flat pan 4 speeds from 1600/180B that use a return spring. A cheap
slave might be OK for a stock clutch but if you run a 2000 sports or
equivalent don't expect a decent life out of a $15 slave. Kits for Nissan
hydraulics have become very exy, maybe they are made in Japan or something
but lately looking through catalogues I've noticed the whole cylinder is a
better buy.

I bought a whole new slave cylinder for my L20B 4 speed for $14.40. I hear
the master is over $100 don't know why. The slave is Taiwanese maybe the
masters arent.
My friend has a clutch from one of the Z cars in his L20B so maybe the slave
is the same? He is now having a problem with his clutch because it has
stopped working, and he doesnt know if it's a leak or the master cylinder.
He has replaced the slave already but it has died altogether. It slowly
loses fluid too. He used to be able to give it a pump and it would come
good.
Is it cheap to get a seal kit for the master cylinder?
