Best way to get a set of 240K front struts is to
buy a whole 240K coupe. You get the struts with the Sumo twin spots, 5
speed box and an r180 diff , booster and m/cylinder. Probably a set of 14
inch mag wheels - All bolt in to your 1600. You can use the dash too if
your really keen on a bit of interior surgery. Keep the globes and other
electrical bits as spares, the steering column is also a fit with some minor
mods. Recycle the rest.
You can pay as low as $150 - $250 for a bent or
rusty 240 Coupe - cheap bits. The engine also has some useful
parts if your into upgrading a 4 cyl. L series, eg the flywheel and clutch
are an instant hipower option for an L20B. Some trim hardware is also worth
keeping if you have storage space.
Strip the car of bits while its on the trailer
you bring it home on, then take the remainder to the recylers - takes a day of
your time and you only have the bits you need - no unsightly wrecks laying
around - just good 1600 spare parts.
