Errol,
My name is Nick - you know that ! , I use Ken's Email.

To 'sort out' Brake hardware once and for all someone will have to find a
way to use the R31GTS 274mm vented Disc, possibly on the 240K strut and with
the BMW 4 spot caliper.
That would be the ultimate budget front brake setup that would still fit
under 14 inch rims and would have the std. (old) offset.
As I said I am going with 250mm R31 vented rotors, calipers, and modified
struts - I would have liked the extra 24mm and standard offset though.
Also we need to sort out a way to get some sort of front caliper onto the
R31/Bluebird rear disc brake setup (especially for rallying and club
motorsport), rear calipers are designed to look pretty, but always have a
small piston diameter (R31 slightly bigger than Bluebird).
I have an internal (B/Bird) handbrake so I am not worried about swapping
rear calipers.

Phew, all this super-dooper high-tech hardware seems a bit of a waste on my
rough looking Stanza - But it sure as hell is going to stop in a hurry!

I am intrigued as to why people report better braking ability with Hilux and
Sumitomo front brake conversions, probably better proportioning
front-to-rear.
Regards,
Nick
