Does the R33 GTR still hold the record for a production car? I thought
Porsche were going to have a go with their latest (4WD) 911 Turbo. From
memory Nissan, Porsche and Jag are all sub 8mins. One of the most
impressive times around The Ring has to be that of the underpowered Honda
NSX- from memory just over 8mins- and with only 3L. I'm guessing the
"production" R33 that lapped around 7:50 was making probably double the
Honda's horsepower. Anyone know anything about the GTR that did the lap?
I'm guessing it was probably a NISMO N1 (Hardly a road car!). Has Nissan
had a go with the R34?
