Ok here's the main bit of this message:
What should I check for that 'Datsun Miss'? maybe my points? dizzy cap?
I typed all this rant when all I need was that first question...enjoy:
I fixed my autochoke now...not too sure about that high idle though...if I
turn the autochoke too far anticlockwise the high idle stays on...maybe I
turned it too far...I'll read up on it. Aanyway I tinkered with it a
bit...it'll start when it's cold now, but it dies after a while...it's
getting choke, but I think the dreaded 'Datsun Miss' is causing the stall
when it's cold now...it sounds electrical...I'm sure it's getting enough
fuel, the choke has only about a 4-5mm gap. It's idles and revs smoothly
except maybe a couple of times a second it'll miss.
I should say I ripped a coil off a sigma and slapped it in the same way the
old one came out...it missed the same before that. It apparently ran
perfectly in another 200B with an automatic...I ripped it out and fitted it
to my manual 200B. I know the carbies are set up different...but I actually
thought I checked the carby and it was a manual carby (some sort of thing
that makes it slowly rev down between 2500 and 1500 or something for the
automatic...also the manual is supposed to have air added when decelerating
to burn excess fuel for polltion control...BCDD...it doesnt have one of
those which makes it look as though it's a manual carby.
