List,
I recently recieved an email from Lindsey
Collits, here it is for interests sake:
"In reference to your question regarding the
computer, my rally team mechainc and part time genius Stephen Dibbs from Port
Macquarie did the mods to the Z18, I think he mainly modified the Air flow meter
to increase the fuel flow.
Whatever he did bloody worked as that engine put
out considerably more power than my other car which had a modified head cam and
turbo and was fitted with a MOTEC with air enhacement and anti lag etc."
My question to the people in the know is: is this an easy thing to do or
should it really be done by someone who knows exactly what they are doing.
Errol pointed out that its just a matter of changing the spring tension.
I'm just a bit confused 'cause I plan to run a T3 and supra intercooler on my
Z-18et (on the standard comp. for the time been) and I think that modifying the
MAF will only decrease the point in the rev range where the injectors get to
around 100% duty cycle. Any suggestions/advice will be appreciated.
