I dont think the Hilux diff is overkill.  I think its the best option for a 1200/120y really.  I have a H190 1600 wagon diff but i think LSD centres are quite expensive and disc brakes have to be converted from a series 2 blubird diff ( i think - can anyone confirm this as i want to go and get some disc brakes soon)  And not to mention the weight of the h190, its rather heavy compared to the stock diff but worth it when u dump the clutch knowing the diff wont break.  I guess $500 is ok but i would make up mounts myself from the stock diff mounts.  Not too hard with the right tools.  Just get them to shorten it for u.    Scott Davo -----Original Message----- From: David Costello <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Tuesday, 20 February, 2001 18:53 Subject: Re: Diff conversion well I only have a stocko L20B in there so the hilux diff is overkill BUT...I had a bit of a think about it today and I'm intending on doing an L20 turbo so perhaps the hilux diff is a good idea, saves me having to put another diff in it later when I do the turbo setup   I didn't understand what you said about the 4WD, 2WD thing, should I be asking for a 2WD or 4WD diff when I ring up?
