Unfortunately Tom, this wasn't the case. He received major injuries,
including suffering a heart attack, and was then severly burnt in the
explosion, he was removed from the car, and was artifically kept alive but
died on arrival. Hopefully for most of this he was unconcious or something
so he didn't feel any pain.
So sad to hear of, and see, so unlucky for him.
