I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case because the L and Z blocks are
practically identical. I know for a fact that the L series distributor
driveshaft fits perfectly with the Z pump, because I use (well, used) a
series 2 bluebird distributor on my Z20E
You could also try a 280ZX turbo oil pump, these obviously fit L blocks, and
flow lots and lots due to being from a factory turbo motor.

series may be the same- you beter check the part numbers with an engine
builder be for stuffing a l series pump on your z though.
