Just a couple of questions regarding my 200B. Under high revs (4750+rpm)
my brake warning light comes on..any ideas?
I have a ticking/tapping noise the engine when cold at idle.. but lately it
has started to occur even when warm when the throttle is off. I'm thinking
thats the tappets...if so what can I do to fix it?
I also tried fitting a 32/36 Weber to my car but the bastard wouldnt
idle... I think it was sucking air because the previous owner has screwed
two of the mounting bolts for the carb and lost one of them so it really
isnt working well at all.. I could get it to idle but at about 2000rpm.
Any suggestions regarding where I can get the bolts from.(thread at each
end-flat section in the middle) and what could be wrong...any adjustments
made had no real effect.
It also appears that the rear resevoir of brake fluid is emptying rather
quickly. What could be the cause? leaking brake line? Brakes work fine though.
Also my car runs hot...I've flushed the radiator best I can and checked the
thermostat for wear and making sure it functions. At the moment its only
running water (thanks to previous owner) will coolant have much effect?
The car also blows smoke when cold. It's more of a black smoke then blue...
so I'm guessing the mixture is too rich at idle?
I'm also thinking of replacing the front seats can someone give me an idea
of what fits. bluebirds I'm guessing.
Any help you listers can give me will be greatly appreciated.
