All,
I got my R200 last night!! It was origanally out of a Jap R31 skyline. It is
a 4.4 LSD. It cost me $350.
The tail shaft flange bolt pattern is larger than my 1600 tailshft. I tried
putting a input shaft from a R160 in the R200, but alas, it did'nt work.
Do I:-
(a) Cut the uni-joint from the old tail-shaft and get it welded and balanced
onto my 1600 tail-shaft??? where would be a good place to get this done in
ACT??? What price am I looking at????
(b) source a tailshaft from another Nissan/Datsun that has the larger flange
and will bolt to my R200 and fit the gearbox at the other end??? (My 1600
tail-shaft is original 1600 length). Does such a tail-shaft exist???
(c) Drill holes into the R200 input flange so it can accomadate my 1600
stock tail-shaft????
