sorry it's late and I'm probably doing something stupid but I can't get this
to work
I'm trying to work out the top speed of a car with 17" rims and 35 series
tyres a 4.11 diff and 0.5:1 5th gear
this is what I'm getting
17" = 431.8mm+35mm for the tyres=466.8mm
466.8 * 3.14 = 1465.75
1465.75 * 60 = 87945
87945 / 0.5 = 175890
or in cm
43.18 + 3.5 = 46.68
46.68 * 3.14 = 146.57
146.57 * 60 = 8794.51
8794.51 / 0.5 = 17589.02
I know I'm doing something wrong
and it's probably something stupid I'll kick myself for not thinking of
could someone please point out my ignorance
