Thanks for that Terry. I'll give that a go. Does anyone through know where a
new yoke can be bought? When I worked at Ford we used to get ours from
Hardie Spicer but they are no longer there and any of the speed shops are
saying to get it from the wreckers. Any clues?

Iggy,

The tailshaft yoke is nothing special for the FJ 71B gearbox, any RWD Datto
tailshaft has the same yoke but some of the 4 cylinder shafts will require
the dust cover to be removed (eg a 1600 shaft). Unless the surface where the
seal contacts is completely stuff the rusty one should be OK as it is case
hardened and I doubt a little surface rust has done anything bad other than
look crap. To clean it up, use some very fine wet & dry with a bit of liquid
dishwashing detergent and wash it off with water - should come up good as
new, then apply some light machine oil to keep looking good and shove it
under you house instead of outside in the elements.

regards
Terry

Guys,

Does anyone know where one can get a new yoke for a tailshaft for the FJ20
gearbox??
The one I have has rusted itself silly from sitting around (my fault I know)
or does anyone know how to clean it up maybe?
