You could buy stick on electric demisters from some accessories shops years
ago, maybe if you found an old country town independent shop they might have
some old stock.

I have seen drivers in trucks run a long piece of duct from the vent
ducting, but that is to keep the second driver warm in the sleeper and is an
eye sore.
You could go all out and run heater hoses to a heater box/fan in the rear!

I had an aftermarket demister in my stock '71 510 when I got it. It was
useless so I scraped it off the glass and binned it. I have yet to see one
of those stick on demisters that actually works. A better bet might be a hot
air blower on the rear shelf. I have seen these before. They have an
electric heater element and a fan that gets a warm air stream onto the
glass. I don't know if you can actually still buy them new these days but
I'm sure you could adapt something else (travel hairdryer maybe?)
