SST's in Perth ran a Rover V8 in a 260z.It was very well setup and very
competetive. It ran 8 throttle bodies etc.It would have to be one of the
fastest zeds in the country.During the classic rally a few years back it
broke a throttle linkage and jamed fully open and bounced off the rev limiter
for a few minutes.People were ducking for cover expecting it to blow.

Something about modern technology, light weight and compact design V's 30 year old monster alternatives from the US.My son (and I) are looking/dreaming? half seriously at building the local "Ford" GT40 kit using one. I do note Ford has modern all alloy 4.6 litre. Not sure if its up to the Jap design specs. though. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
