Andrew Smith and Andrew Denniss,
You bloody legends!
I never though such a serious miss could be affected by the spark plug gap!
Coming from a diesel mechanic that is, heh.
I changed the gap to what AD said, 0.7mm, and drove the thing pretty hard
all day long! Not one miss and no breaking up!
Thanks fellas, saved my plenty of cash and it was all done in no more than
10 minutes!
Thanks again
Regards,
Jon

Jon the same happened to me when I changed to the 400hp turbo its not the
coils
as i first thought its just with the standard plug gap 1.0mm the cylinder
pressure blows the spark out!!! Shame the dyno guy couldnt figure that out
:(
cost me a fortune for no result. I was having misfires with any more than
12psi
I now run 0.7mm gap and can run 25psi without misfire :) dont bother going
after
market coils as the nissan ones are great guess what they mostly run on the
big
power skylines?? i think you will find most run the same some run them
externally from engine though to stop the heat killing them.
cheers Andrew
