I think any of the A series moters bolt strait
in. One of my mates has a 1000 ute with a 1500 motor in it with extractors.
Goes allrigth too.

Hows it going, I own a 72 1600 with 2L.
But this weekend I just picked myself up a 1967 datsun 1000 2dr sedan,
$800 with rego, what a bargin. I have owned a 1200 ute, so am aware of engine
swaps. However the 1000 doesnt have conventional datsun struts, instead it has
gemini style ones, i was just wondering what brake upgrades if any can be
performed as four wheel drums doesn't really do it for me if u know what i
mean.
Any way how sacred are these cars, is it a no no to start with engine
transplants and the like?
any help would be greatly appreciated
