"full floating" means there is a bearing at the small end of the rod, where the gudgeon pin sits, so the pin can rotate within the rod and the piston, unlike the press fit in stock l20b rod-piston assemblies. However retaining clips or teflon buttons are required for the ends of the gudgeon pins to stop them moving and touching the bore - i made mine out of teflon, turned on a lathe. Full floating pistons are meant to reduce friction, and allow the engine to rev easier. I had bearings inserted into the l20b rods, and an oil hole drilled in the top. regards, David Thompson "nat P." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Mornirng David! What is the benefits of using fully floating pistons and what are they, I've heard them beigused for years but just never known what are are?
