Hi Terry,

All that ownership for 12 months crap doesn't apply if the vehicle is 15
years or older. See page 6:

"Vehicles 15 years or older may be imported to Australia without
restriction. This
means there is no ownership and use requirements, or compliance plates
to be fitted,
but an import approval is still required."
