Put the L20 turbo in a dyno comp yesterday.I won the 4 cyl turbo class
and also got the highest hp per litre.The old dinasour made 228 hp
before wheelspin set in which was at about 5500rpm only 200 rpm above
the max torque figure.The mdx dynos stop the engine from reving futher
while it measures torque and every time it would try to slow the motor
over about 5500rpm it would just break loose cause the dyno graph to do
loops.Anyway im gunna go back when they have more time to spare with
bigger tyres and get them to strap the car down better and see what
she'll do at around 6300 where i rekon it should make peak hp.They only
put some straps on the front lower control arms.Then i'll run it up on a
dynodynamics dyno and see what she'll do as about 25 of the cars there
had run on these previously and recorded between 40 to 75hp more on the
dynodynamics.
