is there a chance that the gbox is in fact an fj20de as there the same as the z18et ones, fjt boxes dont bolt up, they might have swapable bellhousings though? in which case youde need a new box aswell. if the z18 is mounted on non custom mounts then youll have to move the box back to fit the fj, hence shorter tailshaft. otherwise ide say the conversion should be the same as a 510?? there is a radiator for sale in the classifieds, for such a conversion, it was in tuf510.

Subject: 180B Z18 to FJ20DET conversion

Hi

I currently have a 180B with a Z18ET as my runabout. It is running an FJ20DET gearbox, Injec fuel only computer, 13Bturbo intercooler. What would be required to pop in an FJ20DET? I assume I will need engine mounts, but will the gearbox have to be moved forwards/backwards hence requiring a new tailshaft? Can I use the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate from the Z18 (clutch is from 280zx apparently) I know my computer will be able to run the FJ with a remap. What is a good radiator for this combo?

 Anthony
