Wayne,

What sort of motherboard and processor
What OS - W98, NT, W2K

Win98 is usually the problem child with APM.

The correct "Power Management Properties" settings for W98 are: (click on "Settings" button in Energy saving features of monitor area on screen saver window)
Power schemes - Always on (trust me, not logical but it works with most Intel chipsets)
System Standby -Never

Subject: off topic (SORRY)

Listers,
I know this is off topic, but obviously you all know how to use computers to some degree, and i need some help.
My computer keeps going into standby mode after 20 min or so even though the standby feature in windows powermanagement is disabled. Also the APM in bios is disabled. Does anyone know where to look because it is starting to shit me.
    Thanks
