Wayne,   Save up and shove a 200mhz tbird in your gigabyte - turbo charge it Socket A style.   Region 2 is UK/Europe which uses PAL as does Australia. I worked out the problem, no matter what i set the powermanagement settings on, (control panel/powermanagement) be it 5 hours or never (for everything) the damn thing would go on standby after 25 min. I deselected the "LoadPowerProfile" from the startup sequence and now it works. Thanks for the tips.   On a Weirder note, Does anybody know why my Aussie purchased Playstation 2 (from Harvey Norman) only plays region 2 DVD's.
