do you mean have two barrels with the same key or two barrels. could u get a
switch which requires a key (if they make them i mean) ?

I know this wont be much help but i just finished wiring in everything from 
scratch with a mate and as long as u have the wiring diagram everything is 
pretty simple. The best plan was to isolate everything so u do it one step 
at a time ie headlights then windscreen wipers then fuel gauge then temp 
sender indicator lighting etc. I was going for all hidden wiring so i just 
used a bare fuse block and built it around that, took a night and a lot of 
solder but the end results were worth it. While your at it you could 
relocate the ignition barrel too, well leave the stock one in place so u 
have a steering lock still, and mount another one under the front seat like 
i did, annoying when another gimp tries to steal your car :)
