series (never done a Z18 but it looks much the same deal) - big ends can be
replaced with the block still in the car. Remove the head first. Then you
have to undo the engine mounts from the xmember and remove the sump
guard and remove the sump bolts - you lift the engine up a tad at the front
and the sump comes out the front of the engine on the passenger side. The fiddly
bit is the oil pickup has to be removed from the block and you just let it drop
into the sump. Refitting the pickup is also fiddly and don't forget it ( don't
laugh, it's happened). The rest of it is just following your
instincts.
