Malcolm, Makes no difference to the operation of the oil pump that I've ever noticed on 910 L20B. It's only an adapter to accommodate the dampers that bolt onto the side of the engine in the 910 and it comes off the block. If you want to use an older type block in a 910 you can change it for the straight adapter off the 710 L20B if you need to as they used a screw in type that fits onto the standard thread which is handy if you want to keep the vibration dampers. Some of the imported Fury spec 910 Bluebirds with IRS etc had a Japanese spec L18 that were much quicker than the Oz spec L20B and we had one for a while for showroom class touring car racing and we used the 710 adaptor on the spare engines without any dramas.

Early stick out, later piont down(much easier to change) Any pros or cons on what is better?.
