Chris    A little difference is not really a problem , If it has gone notchy or tight it could be pinion bearing or lube if you haven't hit something ,Some of the small racks tend to self destruct these days . RON

Subject: Steering.

Guys,

Should the Threaded parts in the steering rack assembly be completely symmetrical?

As my steering does not feel quite right and I notices that one of the threaded bars is screwed out far further than the other.

It has just had a wheel alignment, has this been done to compensate for a bent steering component?

Thanks for the help !!
