Yes
they should be very close to symmetrical. It usually means a problem if they're
not, a component could be bent (you should have be told) or it was aligned
badly. The tell tale sign is if an idler is "frozen" I'd get it checked by
someone else if you don't know what you're looking at. Your description of not
feeling right also indicates a problem - if the toe is out of whack or a tie rod
is frozen, then when you hit a bump (even mild) the behaviour will be very
unpredictable.
