A BOV should last well, the adjustment is usually for spring tension to stop them bleeding open prematurely or at idle. AFAIK they operate on pressure change so function in the same way at different boost levels. Some like Greddy are adjustable for sound, and if you plan to run higher boost (above 15psi) higher quality and larger units are more reliable. If you buy a HKS or Mugen sticker at the same time though -you've gone to far :)
