I assume that you've got a 32/36 weber on that one then. What you describe seems to point to one of the jets. There are a few pick up points for the different jets at the bottom of the float bowl. One of the rubber O-rings is probably letting all the fuel in. THis would account for only running at high revs, black smoke etc.
Take the top cover off and tighten the jets and what ever is at the bottom of the float bowl. Give it a shot and see how it goes Chris S mark krawczuk writes: > have you tried adjusting the float level? been a while since i had anything > to do with a weber. > > mark k > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "brett waters" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Friday, December 21, 2001 4:50 PM > Subject: RIP Weber > > > > List, > > I have a downdraught weber on an L18 and today as i was driving the car > > started coughing, as i slowed for the lights the car started dying.
