A 68 model is a good body as its fully assembled in Japan and is less prone
to rust. I'd jump at it if its as good as the ad describes. Not too sure
which engine you are looking at - L20B or FJ20. If its an L series, a head
gasket is about $25 and about 2 hours to fit. Engines can be acquired for
$100 running reliably. An FJ is a fair bit dearer and I guess a lot more
time.

You wont be disappointed in a Datto, they have that character and potential
to be quick without breaking the bank. This one sounds like it has some
good gear already eg brakes. With a little sympathy they go forever and
will take a thrashing for longer than most cars costing the same.
Replacement parts to fit are laying around cheaply in later or larger Datsun
vehicles.
