Dave, If your going to do it yourself be carefull. Even very dilute solutions of caustic can make you blind in an instant if you get it in your eyes. It's not to pleasant on the skin either. I believe with caustic baths a heating element is used to accelerate the process. I had my block done recently down here in Melb for $20. Maybe shop around for price a bit more. Cheers Trev
