Can you please tell me what you did to get 10psi out of the ET engine?
I am planning on re-jetting the wastegate, but I don't know what size jet to
use.
Thanks.
Geordie,
I'm not sure what you talking about when you say re-jetting the
wastegate?????
I'm running a stock but new engine and stock highflowed turbo.
To run the 10psi boost I've got an ajustable bleed valve under the dash, so
I just move that around depending if it's a hot day, can't get premuim fuel
etc. The standard ET computer has no problem with 10psi, the car runs very
well and I drive it everyday and is 100% reliable. I also have a top mount
inercooler (more like an interwarmer tho)
One thing I've noticed is even if I unscrew it just a very small amount, not
enough to bring the boost up anything noticable on the gauge it seems to
come on boost 500rpm earlier. A friend of mine said it's cos the bleed valve
is taking presure away from the wastegate actuator. Not sure if the theory
is correct though.
The previous owner did the bleed valve mod and I'm going to do something
similar to my 1600, cheap but very effective and convienient to have the
ajustment in the cabin.
