Iggy, The heater water comes out of the block between cyls 3/4 under the inlet mani, goes thru the heater and then is sucked through the hose that goes parallel to the block (also under the inlet mani) and also note the rubber hose connects to a metal runner hose that continues up the front of the engine, then it takes a turn across the front above the pulleys and then there is another rubber flexi fitting that connects into the lower radiator inlet into the water pump.
