Title: RE: Crankcase breathing was god bless webers! LONG!!

Doesn't that already connect to the manifold through the PCV valve?  And if so is it alright to T-Piece into it before the valve?

    Adam

OK on the right hand side of the block half way along
and below the exhaust manifold there is a hole in the
    block.

This "hole" has a pipe extending out to which a you
connect a rubber pipe to the catch can. Inside the
hole is some wire mesh that is used to semi filter the
air that was used create positive pressure in the
    crankcase

All L series engines have this return pipe as it forms
part of the original pollution control systems. I have
seen some people use a welsh plug to block this hole
up, but as someone on the list rightly pointed out, if
the rocker cover pipe is blocked also, it creates
excessive crankcase pressure and hence oil leaks from
rear main or front timing seal.

    Cheers

    "Fergy"
