Dave, I posted the question late last year. I ended up going to Phil Rhyall (Hope I spelt his name right) from BRS Motorsports. He is a Guru with FJ20's. That said, he has had my head since the beginning of December and I hope to pick it up tonight. I knew Phil's reputation for being extremely slow, and planned around it - but it's still very frustrating. If you need the head back in a reasonable time from (2 weeks), I would have to recommend trying some one else - as much as Phil is a great guy.
Another good source for the work is Graeme Wilkins at seven hills. I believe he does some of the machining work for Phil. Graeme did my block (honed) and it seems fine. I'll let you know how the head goes when I get it back together. It should be a good comparison, as the bottom end is still standard, all be it new rings and bearings. Once I get it on the Dyno (later this month) I will let you know the Dyno figure. Cheers, Mark. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Hirst" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Ozdat'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2002 10:17 AM Subject: FJ Headwork > Hey everyone... > A while back someone posted a question regarding FJ20 headwork in Sydney and > who maybe to use. > Just wondering how they went and who they used cause I've got mine apart and > > want to send it to someone who might know what there doing. > Thanks > Dave > > --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
