Thanks for the info Richard and everyone,

So you can get new Aircraft landing lights at auto parts stores.
(I assume that A/C lights are just grunty lights with no tricky prisms or anything in 
the lens)
Where do you get the second hand ones for $5.00. Surely not at the ususal dodgy auto 
wrecker?
Where in Sydney should I try?
If it is from an aircraft wrecker can you get harnesses, scrap honeycomb, alloy etc.. 
as well?
What about a Rocket Assisted Take Off Unit for those tricky overtaking manouveres :)

Are the big black lights you are talking about the ones NAT mentioned, called 
'Lightforce' www.lightforce.net.au ?
