I don't know if this is a SA only regulation but here it's minimum of 6 metres
from the property line (not the kerb) to park next to a corner.

Julian.
I think your problem wasn't getting booked for parking on a nature strip,it was
for parking on the nature strip too close to a corner.
I think the rules state you can not park within 100 metres from a corner either
on the road or the verge.
The actual distance may be wrong but the rule is right.
Any how jst go pay it.
You and every one who reads this email will know better next time.
P.S I sed to live in a suberb called Como here in Perth a few years ago and we
only had one parking bay each.
Visitors used to have to park on the verge and I found out a new rule while I
was living there.
There was a bloke who came past our block of flats every night just to fine us
for parking facing the wrong way aswell.
Supposably it is illegal to park facing the wrong way up a street.
The reason is you have to drive up the street on the wrong side of the road to
do this.
So not only did you get a parking fine but you also got a fine from the police
sent to you a week later.
Total cost of thoes two fines was $180.00 and two demettit points.
I never did this as I used my private bay but lots of friends got done and so
did the neibours friends.
Any how bye for now.
