To the list, I have run into a little problem with my FJ. The motor, when cold, makes a whining sound when the RPMs get above 1500, however when the engine is at normal operating temperature it begins to whine around 4500 RPMs. I am using this problem as an excuse to rebuild the motor. Anyhow, I'm sure most of you know that FJ parts are scarce in the U.S. I have a new timing cover/ oil pump, all the chains, gears, tensioners and guides, but i am lacking all the gaskets, rings and bearings. If anyone could possibly have info about my engine trouble and/or acquiring these few items that I need, it would be greatly appreciated.
