Mick, Space to the shock tower is not too much of a problem, the space to the master cylinder is though. I'm running the FJ at the moment and space is at a premium. Before I start the fabrication, I really need to find out how much clearance I need to have from the bell mouth to the air box opposite, before it effects the induction process.
Later this year I plan to run fuel injection, and the Manifold and Throttle bodies I will be using will sit an angle to clear the master cylinder, so the problem will be gone. ----- Original Message ----- From: "mick ralph" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2002 2:01 PM Subject: Re: Airbox to Suit Webers ?? > Mark > I've long wanted to do the airbox thing but not having any idea what its > sposed to look like sort of put me off. > Fabricating in alum sheet and epoxy is how I would go and should be easy > enough ... if i had some sort of plan. > After my exp with the heat shield i am now more interested in what happens > in the airflow.. > How much space do u have between the bellmouths and the strut tower? > I'm hoping the list will provide the finer details..... > I'm still digesting Errols setup but i'm not necessarily just looking for > more power but i'd like to quieten the cabin noise to an 'unpainful' sort of > level too esp at the lower ranges. > U got any O2 sensors or anything on urs? > PS someone asked me to take a pic of my heat shield but after putting it > on and taking it off 435 times whilst fabricating, for some reason I don't > really want to take it off again straight away hehe > > cheers > Mick > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Mark Alford" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2002 9:54 AM > Subject: Re: Airbox to Suit Webers ?? > > > > Fergy, > > > > This is the reason I am attempting to make the airbox.
