I agree with you entirely Cam.

What I was trying to say was.....if the control arms are standard, you might only get 2 degrees neg with the strut tops. I run a combination of adjustable strut tops plus longer arms and have mine set at 3.5 degrees neg.

From what I've seen on other cars, the Kmac strut tops were only getting 1.5 - 2 degrees neg (assuming that the rest of the suspension is standard)

Mark.

Might depend on the lower control arms Mark....The ones I use are at 3.5 deg neg and still have more to go.

The car is LOW and running 195/50/15 rubber at the front with no tyre/gaurd fouling problems.

Damien,

I believe the 180B arms are the same length. The big question is - "How much camber do you want?" Strut tops alone, should get you 2 degrees of neg, if you want more than that, you may need to use both strut tops and longer/adjustable control arms.

Subject: K-mac V`s Adjustable control arms

Morning list,

I am about to sort out my suspension once and for all. So far I have a strut brace , fat sway bar, king springs, Tokico golds, and 180B adjustable camber pins. In the rear I have Koni's and Lovell springs.  Sitting in my shed I have rear A-arms with eccentric bushes and adjustable front radius rods.

I am going to put all this into the car over one weekend.   I am wondering should I buy adjustable lower control arms or K-mac adjustable strut tops????????

If I chose the K-mac option, would  it be a good idea to use the longer control arms that apparently exist on 180B????

Thanks for your advice,

Damien
