Damien,

What you have there is a Lynx cross over manifold and IMHO they are the ducks guts of single DCOE/DHLA manifolds. The cross over theory is that the pulses are even and unlike other conventional 12/34 manis they don't have the tendency for 1/4 runners to run lean. As you've worked out the sucks/pulses are from alternate venturis and they sound great - most young ricers haven't got a clue what you've got under the bonnet with one of these manis.

Can you use it on a L20B?

Depends - The part number on it will give you a clue. DL1600 has a slightly smaller runner diameter than the DL1800 model (35mm) and if it's the later then probably yes for a 200B. The DL1600 has ~32mm and that's a tad small for a L20B.

regards
Terry

Subject: wierd inlet manifold?????

Hi,

I got a inlet manifold and a single sidedraught DHLA45 Dellorto over the weekend.

The manifold is to suit a L18 and is not like your average manifold. The two outside runners (1 and 4) go to one side of the carb, and the two inners go the other side(2 and 3). The runners don't go straight from the closest carb barrel to the inlet ports. The brand is LYNX, not sure where it is made.

I am not sure why,but could it have something to do with the motor 'sucking' fuel/air mixture alternately from each barrel of the carb, instead of 2 sucks on one side and then 2 on the other?

I s it worth keeping(I have a conventional one already on the car with a 45 s/s weber.

If it is of a L18 can I bolt it to a L20?

Thanks, I'm clueless......\

Damien
