Justin,
the '68 box is a real bitch to get out because the steering column and
steering box are joined together, theres no uni joint between them like the
later model ones.

To get it out you have to jack the front of the car up, take off the
steering wheel & ignition column thing and slide the whole shebang out of
the front. You might be lucky doing it with the engine in but I took mine
out while the motor was out too.
