You can only do this up until a mid '70 model in Oz as the ADR for
collapsible steering came into force. The RTA wouldn't like you
retro-fitting a spear me thinks. I have a feeling that when we fit a 120Y
replacement box, you still have to use the 1600 arm, as one end is the same
but the 1600 end is different (go figure) but if you can get one recoed for
$100 it sounds like a good option to me.

You have to change all the rods and the part on the strut/bottom arms as the
early
has small ball joints.
Just change it all steering box and all to the 70-72 type and you will be
heaps
better off for it.
