Glasurit are the only people that make a etch that can be covered by bog,
all other types must have bog on direct metal.
unless he is talking a knife / blade putty, that goes on primers

Subject: painting & bog

I was speaking to a bloke tonight at trade school (one of the teachers) and he said that when bogging a panel, always paint it(prime) before adding the bog.

The reason for this was because something about being being two parts, filelr and hardener. And this applied to a metal surface causes condensation between the two over time and thus rust forms.

How much truth is there to this. I know i've found quite alot of rust underneath bogged up surfaces, whether it was there beforehand is another thing tho.

Any opinions?

cheers,
Adam
